No it doesn't, you can use the Rav Shock lands to get you your two other colours and still not decrease the amount of forests in play. You can fetch the shock lands using either some of the enemy fetchs,
ally fetchs, or cards like Farseek or Land Grant.
even the Treefolk Harbinger allows you to search for a forest, which would get you a Shock land/Original Duel.

Hey, not bad. It's not like Green isn't known for having copious amounts of land out.

Any saproling deck w/a Life and Limb would appreciate this card. I actually might have to go to the local card shop and see if i can find a single or two for my own saproling deck.

This guy is really good in a mono green treefolk deck, but that unfortunatley rules out Doran, the Siege Tower.

This is the kind of card Doran was made for.

Power is nice, but I'd rather use Traproot Kami for defensive purposes.

Sure, he works great with Doran, but I think Dauntless Dourbark is better. It comes with Trample, and gets bigger than this guy, since he also boosts from treefolk as well as forests. I was running these as my 3-slot, but eventually cycled them out. I might possibly cycle Indomitable Ancients for this guy though, as this can get potentially much bigger than the ancients can.

It's half the calories of Wood Elemental without the chalky Wood Elemental aftertaste.
