@tenkaze: What a surprise, a Rebecca Guay fan crapping on another artist. Spencer's art has definition and depth. You're complaining color contrast hurts your eyes? Really?

Hello, I am a celebrated art critic, I feel it's very important for others to know how I feel about certain arts. I am here to establish myself by bashing the art of a playing card. I feel great about myself and get great sleep every night.

Oddly, I've always liked this card more than Thought Courier. LOVE this edition's artwork.

Great art, I think... I like it very much!
I played with this guy a lot in those days, and I was surprised how with this creature my hand always has less cards, but those cards was always useful. Card selection is a very powerful tool, that obviously costs less than card-draw engine, but is none less useful!
A great card, and a common one...
4.5/5

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels Ron Spencer's art is more at home on the side of a van than in Magic.
To all the downvoters, let me clarify: His use of highly contrasting colors is a pain to look at and makes everything look unnatural, and he doesn't seem to know what eyelids are. All the people in his art have big ol' bug eyes, making them all look eternally bewildered or psychotic. He can't even draw a cuddly bear without making it look threatening. He's good at drawing ugly things exploding, but it'd be nice if his skills were a bit broader.
Bring back Rebecca Guay!

Well tenkaze, we need drawings of ugly things exploding, and guay seems incapable of drawing anything particularly nasty or violent (see perish, just flowing strokes painting pretty pictures. Also why would you even bring another artist up?
