This guy goes great with a deathtouch-granting card such as Gorgon Flail.. he automatically becomes as big as he needs to be to deathtouch anyone that blocks him, and he regenerates afterwards. Drop a Lure on him, as mn6334 suggested, and he gets even better with the flail. Great card, especially for a common.

No, it hasn't changed. You can become blocked only once, but you can become blocked by a creature once for each creature. A little weird, but that's how the rules work.

Why have WotC nerfed this card by oracling it. The original says that it gets +1/+1 for each creature that blocks it and the oracled when it becomes blocked by a creature. An attacking creature can become blocked just once even though it maybe blocked by more than one creature.

My favorite card in my lure deck. With this guy turn 2, and lure turn three, you often don't need to save mana to kill their creatures. That is fast enough to stop plenty of annoying early drops before they lose summoning sickness and can tap themselves.
Of course, if you dropped an elf on turn 1, then you have mana to regenerate on both turns...
