I love this card. I think it would be a great Core Set reprint. There isn't much if anything that is simply "Destroy target creature" in any format, let alone Standard, even in Black. It feels so big and powerful, yet balanced to me.

I'd run it in mono-white EDH. Not many straight kill spells at all in white.
