isn't it weird that they thought past days a tutor like this would be ok? i mean, it's still better than a sorcery that costs X1B and has "search your library for a card with converted mana cost X and put it into your hand. if you control permanents that could produce the amount of colored mana required for the cards mana cost, you may play this card without paying it's mana cost.", which already sounds quite powerful. (phew, trying to reword the effect to a form that requires you to play the fetched card at the same time and still keeps an apparently more powerful wording is quite complicated)

Created back in the day before they realized the power of combos or even real deck building. Toss this in a glorified sealed deck, and it is still the best card in the deck, but you're not likely to combo-out or something. Incredibly powerful and an example of the change in card design that was required for Magic to go from a casual game of cobbled together to a tournament game of finely-tuned decks.
