Why are there no comments for this card? Cool name, cool flavor text, and his ability is pretty good too. With all the discarding black does, it's not hard to get this guy up to at least 5 power.

Unfortunately, Mortivore is in most cases better. Regenerate, lower cmc, and more importantly pulls its p/t from all graves. I never said strictly though, since this thing does not have variable toughness graveyard wipes won't kill him, plus his mana cost is less color-restrictive. In all, an okay card, just outclassed.

broken with return of the nightstalkers.
You'll have to have a way to sacrifice all of your other nightstalkers so that this becomes powerful though. Anyway, nothing is better than an X/3 for 7 mana when you have no lands.
