My friends and I used to play this like it put a +1+1 counter on it.

It really drove me nuts that all of those "inflatable" cards back then (this one, Firebreathing, etc.) didn't say "until end of turn" on them. They had plenty of room - Blessing, for example, has to win a prize for smallest amount of card text on a card - and yet they left it off. So, all of us noobs thought we could make the Shade larger permanently turn after turn.
As for this card, it's been outclassed over the years, but I still like the name and artwork. Good times...

Actually the card doesn't say until the EOT so placing +1/+1 counters on it permanently isn't wrong.
