I used to run these along with erosion, not because they were awesome, but because they really made people angry. Then my friend got Boil. I stopped playing like a dbag after that.

Your opponent's best non-basic land is shut down or bleeds your opponent each time it's used. For two mana. Just about as good as destroying the land, and cheeper.
