This was from back in the day where Prodigal Sorcerer and Psionic Blast were in blue's color pie.

Blue burn and Blue distruction this card is amazing but only in the side board sadly.

Could be useful if your opponent is playing red, and you've got 6 mana and nothing to do with it, but besides that...
This card should be red as much as Reverberate should be blue.

Perhaps the only semi-open-ended blue direct damage spell out there, and talk about a potentially powerful card. Watch all the mountains - and creatures, and players - go boom!

Expensive blue burn. You could be creative and build a deck around this card as your win condition. Doesn't need to be a side-board card, just view the mountain destruction as a bonus. Would really throw your opponent for a loop when he's expecting counterspells and unsummons and you clear the decks with this instead.

This card doesn't strictly obey the color pie, but it does give mountains the bird, which is pretty blue.
