Red forces card draw? Since when? And it's fairly obvious his ability it go against things like control, which hold on to their spells and are in Blue and thus able to draw cards for themselves very easily. Not the best application of this, but that's what he's for. Plus, I'd love to see him in an EDH game when someone across the table has a hand size larger than 40.

In edh, you are basically guaranteed a 5/5 or larger for 3 mana.

Great to run in Cerebral Vortex / Runeflare Trap build. Since you are making your opponents draw a lot of cards anyway, having this guy get huge certainly wouldn't hurt. Also would be good in a Commander deck built around the up-coming UR Nin, the Pain Artist.

He's fairly good in land-destruction decks as well.

By a most wonderful of coincidences, this guy's name both refers to the original and recurring Maro mechanic and is a proper Ja panese name.
Maro is a recurring suffix for boys names, meaning something along the lines of 'me' or 'I'.
Transliterated; Kagemaro means approximately "Great One of Ruin/Harm".

By far my least favorite of this cycle. Considering most opponents want to play their spells he really only fits in red decks where you causing both players to draw cards while running stuff like this guy and Black Vise.

@CeremonialBathory I'd hope when someone has a hand size larger than 40 they'd have atleast one removal spell in there.. this cards still not practical in that situation. Unless of course you can just quickly fling him to remove the player with such a large hand..

By a most wonderful coincidence, this guy's name both refers to the original and recurring Maro mechanic and the names of Mark Rosewater's children.
MaRo is shorthand for the name of Magic card designer Mark Rosewater, a name he has bestowed on all of his offspring.
This card refers to Adam Mark Rosewater, a "ginger" boy who was not permitted to leave the house for most of his life. In fact, he returns in Marshal's Anthem, which portrays his first foray into daylight at the tender age of 25. As Shadoflaam was so thoughtful to point out, he is indeed now Christian and has been assured by the local priest that he has a soul.
