Instead of pricing this the same as Monstrous Growth, there should have been a 1/2 mana symbol for the colorless part of the cost. Thus, since it's halfway between Giant and Monstrous Growth, it costs halfway between them.

To be completly fair Monstrous growth is a sorcery and this is an instant. So this is not strictly worse. It is in fact comparable.

DJcopydog, I think you were talking about Giant Growth though...

I know it is just an un-card, but 1 whole more mana for only 1/2 more power and toughness over an Overgrowth? Lame.

what happens if you supersize an unblocked infect creature? do they get half a poison counter, or can poison counters only be integer numbers. if so, does it round up or down?

Okay, now we have Titanic Growth. NOW this is strictly worse than something. And Titanic Growth isn't that good to begin with.

If you think about it +3.5/+3.5 is essentially the same as +4/+4. I mean, unless you are dealing with creatures that have non-integer stats to begin with.

My 2/2 bear attacks into your 5/5 creature. I give the bear Titanic Growth, making it a 6/6, killing your 5/5 and living to tell the tale. Alternatively, I give the bear Supersize, making it a 5.5/5.5, still coming out on top.

I'm not saying anything about the quality or power level of the card, objectively. I'm just saying that in a lot of cases, there's essentially no difference between this and M12's Titanic Growth. A 2/2 will kill a 5/5 whether it (the 2/2) has been pumped to 6/6 or 5.5/5.5.

The difference is only significant if you're staring down a 6/6 with your 2/2, in which case Supersize isn't going to be powerful enough to let the creatures trade in combat.

So yeah, Titanic Growth is pretty much strictly better, but whatever. It's an Uncard.
