What if the next game isn't an 'Un' Game?
Could I plan this so I could call in Johnny, Combo Player on turn 4 of a tournament match?

"What is that object in the lower-right corner?"
"A flux capacitor. Duh!"

The Phylactery Lich stepped out of his Time Machine phylactery and entered the new world, getting ready to jump right back in it in case anyone aimed a shatter its way.

Kind of screws with the games, but then, what else would you expect from Unhinged.

could be great, your about to win the game or lose (the fate of the game is pretty much decided at this point atleast) and you have one of your best cards on the field you can use this and have the advantage in the next match

Combo with Johnny, Combo Player and Mox Lotus to get all 4 of the Goblin Guides in your deck into play. Exile all 4 with Time Machine, then play in a type-1 tournament with your opponent.
Would it work with a playset of Phyrexian Dreadnought, sacrificing 2 to feed the other 2? 24 trample damage on turn 2.

I just realized... if you take extra turns, say by Time Walk, does that count towards determining which turn is "turn X"?
Also, now that we've seen Karn Liberated, I can't help but feel this is somehow it's prototypical ancestor (remove permanent so that you can take it through time to use in a new game). Somewhat more awkward, but still interesting.
