@djflo: totally agree!
Always people says that a non-vanilla creature isn't strictly better than a vanilla one because of Muraganda Petroglyphs. Stop saying that, because it isn't true... You can't claim a corner-case for counter a "strictly better" discussion...

However, versatile card. Does its job!

3/5

@Nlky, strictly better doesn't mean "Interacts more favourably with every other card in the game", it means that what is printed on the card, in isolation, is more versatile/powerful. Otherwise I could say that, because of the ability for your opponent to potentially play your cards with say Sen Triplets, Lightning Bolt is not strictly better than Shock.

@Lash_Of_Dragonbreath:
According to MTGSalvation, "Strictly better is a term used to compare cards that are identical in most regards, and in each way they are different the same one is more favorable."
It's slang, like "kosher as christmas," an idiomatic construct that caught on before anyone really caught on.
One could go mad trying to ascertain the better of two similar cards, as a Muraganda Petroglyph'd Wandering ones is made eligible for Meekstoneage, but then it can resist the call of a siren, which brings us back to the Teardrop Kami...

It isn't strictly better than Wandering Ones. Muraganda Petroglyphs doesn't buff this at all.

@All the "strictly better" addicts out there:
No, "strictly better" means "better in all situations. If you look up "strictly" in any dictionary, you'll see it means something among the lines of "completely", "absolutely", or "conforming completely on an established rule , no matter what the situation".
Therefore, for a card to be "strictly better" than another it has to be better in every possible situation inside the game. This is NOT strictly better than Wandering Ones, because of the Petroglyphs. Maybe you could say it's stricly better than W. Ones inside Kamigawa block, but I doubt even that much.

Oh yeah, back to commenting the card. I suppose it's 1-drop for control, and it's job is just sitting there and then later delaying a big creature's attack. Also has the added bonus of being a spirit (some tribal support and specially the Soulshift mec... (see all)
