@manadrained: Even though lands tap for all sorts of colors, they are all colorless permanents. Dragonskull Summit might tap for two different colors of mana, but its just as colorless as a Mountain or a Swamp.

I don't understand why this card is being rated so low. Put it in any five colored deck and you can block most big creatures turn after turn. Protection seems to be overlooked often.

This should be a 4/5 card. You're paying a W for a 1/1 with protection from white on default. Combine with other colored permanents and it's a bonus.

Play with laces. Prismatic Lace in particular is great with this.
Would be fun if this was reprinted in or near a gold (or hybrid) block.
