Flavourwise great card, letting trees grow near and far and become stronger with the forest.
Power-Level-wise? Maybe in a mono-green deck with a bunch of forest walkers, but all in all rather crappy.
It was one of my most favorite cards though back in the days.

Actually, don't mess with this guy.
Imagine playing against this guy with a non-green deck. And imagine the situation a few turns later when all of your lands are forests. That my friends, is mana screw.

More useful for mana-hosing than beating face. The sheer messy nature of the text on this card was incredible - in Revised, if I recall, the entire card text was after the tap symbol, including all the state-based effects, such as determining power and toughness.
