To answer that, Alqatrkapa: Originally you could have divided its combat damage among its blockers to incapacitate as many as possible with its ability.
But under the M10 rules changes only deathtouch creatures can do that. Kashi-Tribe Reaver will have to deal lethal damage to each blocker in the chosen order before it can assign damage to the rest.
Thus where once it could have attacked with lure into 3 6/6 wurms and stalled them all for a turn, now it can only slow down one of those three.

This card is a lot worse under the Magic 2010 rules update.

Kashi-tribe Go-Lean! Crunch is created with all-natural denizens of J÷panese flavored planes. Try our new Reaver flavor. "It's Hssssssreat!" says Tony the Snake.

Kashi tribe? So she like whole-grain cereal?
Also, it's not just deathtouch creatures- banding creatures can do it too! Go go Baton of Morale!

Yea, the ability to spread the damage hurts her and other creatures like her. She's still a great creature, though.

Overpriced, but still useable.
