@ Tynansdtm: the Kami of the Sun, apparently. And this card is the most we see of it. Granted, Terashi, Kami of the Sun would have been a pretty cool card, but I suspect that it wasn't made for the same reason that O-Kagachi, Greatest of the Kami wasn't made: it would have to be absurdly powerful. Thus, the spells you mentioned and Final Judgment are all we get.

It can help punch through an opponent's line, and as an Arcane spell, it can help enable all sorts of fun shenanigans. Not great, no, but a fun little card from an under-appreciated (if admittedly wonky) block.

Being a sorcery means you can't use it for combat tricks or end of turn shenanigans to unload all of your attackers on your turn, meaning this has very, very limited use.
I thought tapping creatures was a white thing?

Terashi's Cry, Terashi's Grasp, and Terashi's Verdict all exist. But who or what is Terashi?

This is exactly the kind of card that made Kamigawa block feel like an over-correction after Mirrodin.
