A very good card, as it's a spirit that's P/T fairly costed. Then, there's the boost, which is far more likely in Spirit decks. In other words, he's excellent in his home block.

Good card in Naya control deck with a Double Striker or two. But then again, that isn't a really viable strategy, lol.

As a 4/4 for 4, the South Tree was a fair bargain, and the mini-over run means that any deck running a small number of spirit or arcane spells can rely on getting the bonus at least a significant amount of the time, even for a deck not dedicated entirely to spirits.

By the time this one is casted, the player could probably cast multiple cheap spells next turn to buff up quickly. Its ability also allow one to do it at instant speed, saving your creatures that would otherwise get burned or what not.

Not really. In the right deck, Kodama of the South Tree is easily more powerful than Deadbridge Goliath. It's definitely much better, than the average common or uncommon nowadays (note that I said "the average" for a reason, so don't just point out some of the few overpowered commons and uncommons to me)
