If you run out of steam and have an abundance of lands, this guy is essentially a repeatable draw 3 for 4

It's expensive alright, but returning two lands into your hand also means you discard two more and draw two more cards. In late game it should be fine. Not a good card, though.

4 mana and 2 lands is a little steep even for a reset button. =(

Might not be bad in EDH if you have Training Grounds and/or Heartstone out.

Crucible of worlds goes well with this, to "moot" the additional cost..
