At first I thought was not that good, but then I found out that the card is reusable. So... Essentially this is a mini-Giant Growth that can be added onto any other Arcane. Spirit decks ftw!

i once used this to win a game, the oposition swong with his creaturs, i had 2 choises, lose the only creature that would make me win next turn, or i could die, i chose 3, i played Blessed Breath and spliced this guy in making my 1/1 a 3/3 pro green and killed his 3 tough green creature that would have killed me, i then used that 1/1 that should have died to povide me with sufecient mana to cast other pumps with this spliced 2 times and cast regularly. with all said and done i had an 8/13 flier and he was at 7, with no flighing creaturs.

Definitely underrated. Has the potential to be better than Giant Growth a lot of the time, especially in spirit/arcane decks. Consider for example cards like Kodama of the South Tree.

Something that I never really realized before now is the synergy between the "bad" mechanics of the Kamigawa block. The "hand size matters" mechanic pairs really well with the Splice into Arcane mechanic, because you're essentially playing multiple cards with the use of one, thus generating card advantage and getting more out of the "hand size matters" cards. The only bad thing was that the Arcane and "hand size matters" cards were mostly underpowered. The concept was brilliant, but the cards lacked a bit more punch, so I sure hope we get to see the return of these mechanics if the block gets continued (as with Scars), only a bit more buffed.
