Somewhere between air elemental and sphinx of jwar isle. So, not bad.

Have a nice body, big enought to attire the attention of the opponent and have it wish to target it. A bit costy, but can live a lot longer than Air Elemental. Just play cards that target opponent's creature, not yours, and this can be a real beater! Also, virtual card advantage, since if your opponent doesn't want to waste a removal to "break" the shield, he/she have a dead card in hand... Even better if he/she doesn't have 2 removal in hand...
For me, a little understimated

Kira, Great Glass-Spinner and Erayo, Soratami Ascendant both do that.

An exceptionally tactile creature that forces your opponent to waste extra removal spells is amazing. Its cost isn't too bad and it makes for a strong addition in almost any blue deck. But what would be really interesting is if there were a card that can copy the glasskite's ability and add it to other creatures that you control. Has anybody heard of such a card before?

Artwork reminds me of Omega Weapon from the older Final Fantasy Series.

combos well with summoning trap. Just use a 1 drop, it gets countered and you can play a big fatty with the trap

@danyo:
Summoning Trap requires a creature to be countered, and Jetting Glasskite only counters spells or abilities that target it.
I see Rancor as being a good counter to this ability.
edit: nevermind, rancor requires it be on the battlefield first.

@SavageBrain89
The best example I can think of is some sort of wacky combo involving Volrath's Shapeshifter...
