Reminds me of Fog Bank, one of my favorite defensive cards ever. Love the disabling options this can give.

Fun fact: ET was actually enchanted with this during his stay on Earth. This is why none of his space diseases were spread around the globe, thus ending humankind. Thanks, MTG!

Versatile. Give yourself an sturdy wall, protect a utility creature, or neuter an enemy beater.

It's also like an improved Gaseous Form

Then again, you could have the enchanted creature ping stuff with the "downgrades".

Just use Ghostly Possession and give it trample.

Why would his space diseases spread around the globe? He comes from another planet and the evolutionary difference between him and humans would be enormous. We can't be infected by many chimpanzee diseases so it would be incredibly unlikely we could be infected by the ET's. The difference is likely to be so big that they might not even be carbon based...

The Excruciator has a heart of light in him.

If only because he's eaten people with them. Good god is that a fun combo.
