Yes, I know. I actually sent a complaint to wizards after reading Swarm of Rats. Not sure if they did anything, but it made me feel better. It's hard to explain to your little cousin who plays magic why someone is saying obscene things on cards.

Two comments on the card itself, one (By Good Ol' Master Of Etherium) copying the flavor text, the other on the 'annoying white borders.' Everyone else seems to find MoE's language skills much more entertaining. This seems to be some accidental genius ploy on his part, as he's become the most well known commentator on Gatherer..
As for the card, 5 mana for an 8 life swing isn't terrible, but i'd rather play Needlebite Trap, even though i can see this as being better 80% of the time.

Yes abacus, i have seen this syndrome before. It does not seem like him but unfortunately I fear it is the same. However, you may pay close attention to the date when posted. Yes, that long ago. So, my conclusion is that MasterOfEtherium back then only posted the exact same flavor text as the card. Terrible, I know. For more reference on my studies of idiots and their habits, please see hill giant, seventh edition.
