I feel like its saving grace is the ability to give x life to anyone, Boosts your Kavu Predator or punishes them with False Cure, in addition to being able to heal you if need be.

This can be better than Dawnglow Infusion, if you have means of copying spells, or if for some reason you want to give another player life (multiplayer politics). So Dawnglow isn't strictly better. It's pretty close, though.

Oh, and Taste of Paradise is another one that's usually more efficient.

NOT strictly worse than Dawnglow Infusion, Infusion sets off any effects that playing a white spell causes/is vulnerable to anything that targets white spells, which can be bad in certain circumstances. However, for almost all purposes, the infusion is better.

I don't see why this card is rated so low. Maybe it's the Timmy in me talking, but this is, and always has been, the most basic life gain spell in the game, and one of the best. Yes, there are more aggressively costed life gain spells for lower amounts of life (Whitesun's Passage, Nourish, Natural Spring) but they're not really comparable, because this is best used in different situations. You may play a Nourish in your first couple turns, then bust out the Stream of Life late-game, when you have a ton of mana, or use it with Joraga Treespeaker, for instance, or any infinite mana combo. Obviously, in the right situation, this card has far more potential than most life gain spells.

That said, strictly worse than Dawnglow Infusion

Natural Spring at 4X would = 8 life, versus 4 life for this.

Gatherer works better in the Companion app!
