The creature that your leonin is riding on here is actually called a pteron, so I'd say that wolfbear2 is closest in his guess of the creature type! On Mirrodin, many (if not all) of the flying leonin are riding these pterons, but there are precious few references to the creatures' actual names. You can see one unmounted example on Pteron Ghost, and there are some flavour text references on Tenth edition Skyhunter Skirmisher (I believe it would only appear on the foiled version in print), on Thermal Navigator and on Bladed Pinions.
Anyway, I have to say that I don't think the creature type (Pteron, Dinosaur, Lizard or w/e) should be added to this card - no more that I think White Knight should be a Creature - Human Horse Knight!
