Or with Vigor and Pariah's Shield, especially in multiplayer. Your creatures never die and get bigger every combat, even from stuff you can't block =)

Love the Aurification too

Worth playing with dueling ground. Run just a few creatures and play the control game.

Have you guys considered Darien, King of Kjeldor EDH? I play this and your options are: 1) Trash it, 2) Attack me and I get soldiers, 3) Don't attack, and you take damage and your creatures are tapped down, or 4) Get rid of Darien by shuffling it into my library or gaining control of it. For the Darien deck, since my opponent's creatures are now tapped down, I can alpha strike without worrying about blockers and, due to the vigilance this card provides, I will have blockers in case they decide to attack me. If I choose not to attack and I have Soul Warden-type effect on the field, then I'll get a bunch of soldiers, which can serve as skullclamp fodder or beef up dudes with Coat of Arm or what have you.

I love this card. Not because it's that strong, but the weird ability is cool.

This + Dolmen Gate + Repercussion. Basically, you get to attack as though unblocked virtually consequence free.

I run that in a Human deck (laugh if you want, but there's more Humans than Elves, Goblins and Merfolk combined). I use Weathered Bodyguards with Ghostly Possession to prevent the combat damage that would be dealt to me.
