Not strictly worse than Earthquake. This is an instant, which obviously has its benefits.

So much better than earthquake. Instant speed for one more mana. This card has time and time again either deflected an enemy attack in multiplayer or just downright ended the game. I use it in a red white deck with lots of fliers and some effects like Purity. This has got to be one of the best red cards in the ENTIRE game.

You can really build around this card, which I like. Now people all want to use No-brainer cards like Bonfire of the Damned but if you were skilled player and learned to build a deck with fliers, having a Faultline was quite the control card.
