Wait a minute, beakid is actually right. Shifting Wall and Wall of Spears both had explicit card text saying they counted as walls. This doesn't. So before the Oracle update, based on how the rules were printed back then, you could technically attack with this.

I see they errata's it to actually be a wall.
You don't have to tell your friends that when you play it in casual, though.

It's made up of demolished Great Walls. Hence, Wall of Junk.

why did they have to put "defender" in the new oracle :( this would have been awesome with Doran

One man's trash... is another man's wall?

@ beakid: actually it wasn't a misprint. They simply chose not to give artifact creatures creature types in those days. Like shifting wall or karn, silver golem.

I like the fact that this guy isn't a Wall (a misprint during those days) :)

Back in the day, Wall of Junk was a great stall card. It's on my top ten Magic 2012 reprint wish list.

@distinct actuality
I wish this card could survive that, but the ruling says it has to survive until the end of combat. It's still one of the greatest walls ever. Today walls get wall of tanglecord because wizards says "blocking isn't fun."
