I think Revered Dead should have been replaced with a regenerating 0/1 white spirit... but it would have been uncommon, I think.

One of the premier defenders in early Magic, this kept many a Serra Angel, Sengir Vampire, Shivan Dragon, Mahamoti Djinn, and Gaea's Liege from getting through for a mere Black. On offense, Unholy Strength made this quite a potent threat. Nowadays, it is weaker due to the sheer amount of -X/-X effects in the game, but it remains a great 1-drop and a fun card to play with (but not necessarily against).
