Time has not been kind to Ali - I guess he's victim to the early design philosophy that creatures' costs should be weighted more towards the abilities than the body. However calling him a 'joke of a card' is unfair. He's hardly an unplayable whelp like Wood Elemental or Mold Demon.

well it is red, so that is neat. four mana is not too bad considering the ability. the fact that it is a creature makes it a hit or miss.
you know though, it would be not that bad for a land destruction deck. ( if you can afford to even get your hands on any)
