If this was just a regular one drop with vigilance than people would actually think its not that bad. Any random buff would make it all the better.
The very expensive rootwalla ability just makes people hate it and that is a bad design choice right there

Its a vigilant 1/1 for . You might as well ignore the other ability.

@Test-Subject_217601: I fully agree with you. I'm considering this guy for a Knight deck, cause really, he's a 1/1 with Vigilance for one mana, and if nothing else, his ability can be of use when you're out of cards.

drafts: haha look at all these fools passing these mean guy to me, now he will rape their as*es
still one of the 3 1cmc knights, but the other ones kind of look better...
if nothing else it's a 1-drop, and maybe for knight tribal

That flavor text is excellent. "Hey punk, your friends are here to help you now, ARE THEY?!"
@ttt3142 - Awesome.
Oh, there is a creature attached to that flavor text. Um, neat white 1 drop with a decent ability.

There is currently only one other 1/1 with Vigilance for 1 mana and that guy is an uncommon. ( Mystic Penitent )
A 1/1 for 1 is pretty much common place at this point. Tack on Vig and he's looking pretty good. The pump is very nice, but the expensive cost turns heads. Why should I spend 4W for +1/+2 when I can drop Gleam of Resistance which has the exact same cost, but is better all around? +1/+2 to itself is, at the most, worth 2W; even if that were the case for this card I have a suspicion people would still complain about it being to high of a price.
I say, ignore the self buff and look at the card again. A 1/1 for W with Vigilance and a relevant creature type that you can most certainly make good use of is a good card, even better so that it is sitting at a common slot. For that reason I am giving this card 4 stars. The pump should not turn heads and lower this guys score. The pump is not mandatory nor is it a draw back, so why rate this ... (see all)

In drafts people used to pass this card all the time because of it's expensive ability completely overlooking the fact that it's a 1/1 Vigilance for one mana. I took advantage of that all the time.

He's a 1/1 vigilance for 1. The pump, expensive though it may be, just adds to its usefulness.

It is the only 1/1 knight that I can find for my extended knight/ light from within/ coat of arms deck, so it get a 4 for that.
