Elusive old card, I only know it from Shandalar. At least it's on gatherer, a lot of promo cards aren't.

Anyway I always find it funny when the flavour text on old cards are pretty much playtesting anecdotes. See for example Artifact Blast. In this case it seems obvious to me both Green Sleeves, and... ahem.... Karli, were someone's girlfriend lol.

"in an battle"? This was in a book, but the card designers didn't even bother to proofread the card's flavour text? Oh, the irony.

I still have the book from which this card originates.
'Whispering Woods'. It's on my book shelf with a bunch of other old, nearly forgotten books.
It was a decent read. Gull and Greensleeves and Towser and all that. Memories.

Yeah, I wasn't so lucky, lol. I remember buying the old MtG books, but the offers for the promo cards were expired by a month :(... Talk about just missing out.

I remember being the only player i knew who read in the early days of MTG. I was the only one who had this card and I was envied by all. It was great.

And then God descended upon the unknowing people. And some blind, dim-witted moron thought he looked like a badger. And thus, the people rejoiced, for they had received the gift of a bushido badger. But God was embarrassed, that maybe he combed his hair funny and looked like a badger. So he permanently changed his form to a badger to make sure no one would ever make fun of him again.

When I got hold of the Redwall series, I wanted to build a deck based around the books. Would've had this, Stone-Throwing Devils (the non-com members), Aysen Abbey (the only Abbey card), and others...

Kickass artwork. Very reminiscent of some badger god or spirit, as Superllama pointed out.
