I have actually had multiplayer games where this card is in effect at all times and cannot be removed in any way - think planes in Planechase. Keeps global destruction and Verdant Forces in check.

Interesting card. It might be good for my Chaos Stack (as with Kirbster's way of playing sometimes, it's like Planechase but with regular Magic cards - in fact, it's what Planechase was designed from).
@El_Pared: Reread the card. Every opponent must discard a card, not just two opponents. "Whenever a player casts a spell, each of that player's opponents may discard a card. If all of that player's opponents do, counter that spell."

Guy grabbing other guy's collar: "Does my breath smell OK?"
Spiky-haired guy: "Yeah, but you have a spot on your robes."

@ Totema: Yes it would, I'm waiting for them to make it in a Commander set kind of like they did with The Cheese Stands Alone/Barren Glory
It could just say "Whenever a player casts a spell each of that player's opponents may discard a card. If more than one player discarded a card this way, counter that spell."
it would be almost as annoying as Planar Chaos or Counterbalance

lol creature spells are spells too, I know a couple of people who would love to use this on me, I always win our multiplayer games, though not quite as often in one on one matches.

One way to stop mass-destruction spells in multiplayer.

This actually could work in an ordinary set, I think.

Saxophonist: This could be a musical number
Guy grabbing other guy's collar: You know you want me...don't counterspell my love!
Spike-haired guy: O-O *sigh* let me get my Rod of Spanking.
