@lorendorky: Why? So that they could destroy their own combo? If a Valakut deck could benefit from this, they'd be running Lightning Bolt already, and they don't.

With lightning bolt making an appearance back, I got to give this a 2.5/5
This is still good for red decks that only need 3 or so mana, they can run x4 bolts and x4 of these.
Edit: Just made a Modern RDW. This is my lightning bolt 12-16, and I have to change the rating to a 4.5/5. Freaking awesome card, 3 damage rocks! Who cares if you pitching a land if your going to win the game from it!

This is a good card in RDW. Sure it isn't as powerful as Lightning Bolt, but it still works as a great supplement to the bolt. I almost always use this as my finishing burn spell so that the saccing a mountain drawback doesn't really do anything because the game is already over.
