Are you mad Volcre? I've see Boggy Hellkite used, and brutal isn't the word. And the more draconic the deck, the more brutal it is. Hell, I'd go so far as to say that its the best dragon to see play.

5/5 flash flying with a blaster effect... seriously, this is up there with kokosho the Evening Star on the brutality scale. Flash it in, kill a godsire and 2 damage to their face, revive it, 5 damage to the face again (bladewing the risen anyone?) then it swings for 5 power. Seriously, you wanna question a card's rarity, question Vampire Nocturnus, Conflux, or Aven Mimomancer first.

God I want a playset of these.

If an opponent played the Bogardan Hellkite and chose to deal 5 direct life damage to me, and I responded with a Windstorm for 6 mana(5 +G) would it kill the hellkite before the 5 damage hit my life or would the 5 get through and then kill the Hellkite? Thanks

@kitoudark
The ability checks when it resolves. First it triggers when the hellkite enters the field, then because the hellkite itself is doing the damage, the ability checks to see if he's still around upon the ability's resolution. In that situation, you would take no damage.

Does the rarity change mean it's now possible for the rarities of old cards to change without having them reprinted, sorta like creature types were changed?

Question: I have a Dominating Licid in play untapped and ready to uh, Dominate.
My opponent slaps down a Bogarden Hellkite. It resolves and "enters the battlefield".
However, it's triggered ability uses the stack, so I respond by putting my Dominating Licid's activated ability on top of it. My Dominating Licid's ability resolves first, giving me control of the Hellkite. Then it's triggered ability resolves. Wouldn't it resolve in reference to me, allowing me to assign the damage, since I'm now it's controller?

Maybe it's just me but I can't see this card being good enough to be a mythic...

great flash, great stats, great flying, great comes into play ability, there must be a drawback? Oh yeah, 8 mana.......... if you are playing dragons, you are in red, if you like the burn effect, you are probably playing red as well. If you are playing red and need an 8-drop to win the game, you may as well concede. There is a kind of spell you use when you need a topdeck win late game for red, it's called an X spell, I happen to know a REALLY good one called BANEFIRE. lets see, 8 mana for a 5/5 that will egt removed right away, probably even countered, and might do 5 damage? or 8 mana for 7 damage that can't be countered, and can't be prevented. you decide.
