This thing is ridiculous. One mana to basicaly make an equipment a non-option. Also great against things that give evasion or protection.

Throw it on lightning greaves and let them decide whether they want to attack first turn or every other turn.

Not bad out of the sideboard in limited but won't see play anywhere else. Even in limited it's very rarely going to hit the board: there are only three equipment cards in M14 and none of them are common.
Good answer to Fireshrieker though.

Cute, certainly flavorful, possibly powerful in the right situation, but often useless. It's also unfortunate that the equipped creature will get a chance to attack you first before getting destroyed. It will be fun in commander and a passable sideboard effect in limited, but usually bad everywhere else.

1st: Enchant your own equipment.
2nd: Creatively attach it to your opponents creatures.
3rd: Enjoy the look on your opponents face everytime.

P.S: Cards like Act of Treason and Magnetic Theft are ways to do this.

Look at all the people here who don't understand what this card does! If the enchanted equipment attaches itself to a creature, that creature is destroyed. It doesn't at all interact with the equipment...

The card is cute and flavorful but powerwise atrocious.

If your opponent has no equipment, it's a dead card.
If your opponent has no equipment he cares about, it's also a dead card.
If your opponent has equipment he cares about, but also creatures he doesn't mind dying (solemn simulacrum like creature, or festering newt, or creatures with a pacifism on them that he wants in his graveyard so he can reanimate them), this rather helps your opponent.
It also let's your opponent trigger "dies" effects, like on gravepact.
And it's very slow to boot.

In short. It's narrow, slow, sometimes does nothing and sometimes even helps your opponent. No thanks.

This is a very overrated card. It's nigh-useless in draft, since the only three pieces of Equipment in the set are Accorder's Shield, Fireshrieker, and Haunted Plate Mail - two uncommons and a rare. I've seen people draft it, thinking it attaches to creatures and kills them when they become equipped. All in all, a complete miss, rules-wise and functionally.

I suppose it would have some use in a future set with large Equipment counts. But even then, it doesn't stop the Equipment - they can still play a creature, equip it, and swing for higher damage. Artificer's Hex just makes it a little riskier.

What a waste of an uncommon slot in draft.
