I'm with ya bro, foil cards start out warped and non-foils look better in my humble opinion.

@DacenOctavio

I guess she could look a bit less dashing, but she really inst all that attractive anyway.

About this card, shes OK, pretty beastly in EDH especially if you can protect her.

Perfect creature type for Thornbite Staff. Specially if you want to abuse some sacrifice ability or death trigger (think Phyrexian Altar and Vicious Shadows).
On a side note, it was nice of R&D to make this right after Lorwyn so we had an use for those 3/1 Hostility tokens.

You can somewhat look at this card as costing 2RedRedRed with an upkeep cost of Red. Produce 3/1 haste that stick around is actually very good, especially since you get one on the first go.

So, according the Magic, the finest pawns/minions:

1. Know what you need without you ever saying a thing.
2. Serve you in the light.
3. Sometimes does not do Darkness'es dirty work.
4. Don't mind sacrificing themselves as long as the king reigns.
5. Can kill giants, scoop out their skulls, and drive them back to Blood Ridge.
