Yeh it is a little expensive but makes so many cards so much better.

This Q is mostly academic...
If a player somehow got two of these on the Battlefield, I'm thinking if their red Instant or Sorcery or red Planeswalker subsequently dealt damage to a permanent or player, double damage plus four would be dealt.
Any disagreement?

It's a Weapon. :P Heroes have Personalized Weapons. It's more of a "Throwback" to Umezawa's Jitte if we are using the word Throwback to mean something it doesn't mean. :P
It's a nice card. ^_^ The +1/+1 to creatures from Gauntlet of Might is really just unsimilar to Pyromancer's Gauntlet's 2 damage for spells though? Caged Sun was an Actual Throwback. SINCE Time Spiral and Scars of Mirrodin block had both done Throwbacks to that card, they did something DIFFERENT instead.
Different is good, and I hope Gem of Becoming and Pyromancer's Gauntlet indicate we'll be getting an Ajani artifact sometime soon. Whether to do more Lorwyn Planeswalker Artifacts or more Alara Planeswalker Artifacts....that Is the question? :)

I believe this card's true strength comes when comboed with cards that let you split your damage, like Cone of Flame, Flames of the Firebrand or Arc Trail, since every single target gets their damage increased by two.
Cone of Flame deals 3+4+5
Arc Tral deals 3+4
Flames of the Firebrand deals 3+3+3
Fire servant will still be better if you use a lot of non-splittable damage dealsers, such as Lightning Bolt or Fireball however.
I think this'll be really useful in my izzet burn/draw deck.

Not that anyone would ever use it like this, but if someone did manage to create a workable storm deck with this and grapeshot... well.... it would certainly make spreading out the damage dealt by the copied spells a much easier decision, yes?

Searing Touch probably still isn't GREAT, but the extra kick is quite welcome. Additionally, note that this curves nicely into a double Staggershock with your turn 6 mana for 16 damage!
