Would like to see this and a similar cycle reprinted soon. It might be a bit complex for a core set but it would be cool to see in M13.

So I decided to add 3 to my Esper deck, in which I want to play Inquisition of Kozilek and Thoughtseize on my turn or Spell Pierce/Brainstorm on theirs. I'll come back with the results.

EDIT: Wonderful, just wonderful. It's a B mana the turn you play it and a U mana on theirs. As simple and useful as that. Play a land to produce a B with it and If it ends up being your only U source in play, don't worry, you will be extra careful with the timing of your next land drop.

My favorite land in the entire game. I love the artwork, the frame, the flavor, the strange weird unique U/B land mechanic. It's just so perfect. I have a page in my rare binder front and back dedicated to this sole card.

Very good for UBx control. Allows you to cast black discard spells on your turn or hold up mana for blue counterspells on your opponent's turn. Not having life loss is very relevant for a control deck trying to stall the game against more aggressive decks.

Quite possibly the best card, art wise, in all of MtG. At least, that's my opinion.

I don't think that they tried pronouncing "Kholon" literally.

If this doesn't get reprinted in Journey into Nyx I'm going to be so angry. What set could be better?

Update: It looks like River of Tears is very specifically from the plane "Arkhos". From "The Planes of Planechase":

"Arkhos is the plane represented by the Future Sight card River of Tears (also illustrated by Chris J. Anderson). It's a dreamlike world where night and day intermingle according to its own strange internal logic—check out the delicate quality of the light in the art. Near Lethe Lake on Arkhos, memories ebb away like the current of an old stone watercourse. Most mages tend to steer clear of the psychic ravages of the Lake, but surprisingly, some seek it out, believing they need to be cleansed of all remnants of the past in order to make their minds free for new magical creations."

Hm... because half of the text box has a black background, the text needed to be white rather than the standard black. I wonder if that's the reason they never printed any W/B cards in Future Sight, or if it's just a happy coincidence :P
