Flavorwise, it doesn't make much sense that this doesn't add anything to the equipped creature's power. I'm curious, would a creature swing twice with it with Double Strike? Kind of funny that a creature could be fast enough to hit the player twice with it before being obliterated.

There is no easy way to wield this card. It doesn't make your creature stronger, it doesn't help it survive or get damage through, and it is expensive. However, if you can plan for the destruction (Darksteel Plate, regeneration, etc) it is a game-ender.

This is such an over-rated, over-costed card. This is one of those moves someone would lose if they had no alternative in their deck for a win.
