This might be the only way to block a Beloved Chaplain or Commander Eesha, at least without protection-removal cards like Humility...

Alas, it would have been so much fun to have convoke on this card, however it does do amazing with another ability. Graft, instead of chump blocking, eat their attacker instead.

I like how the rulings actually mention Vindictive Mob. That card....... it really confuses me as to why it exists and why it's uncommon.

Such a sick card. I used it to block Child of Night with 2 Unholy Strengths and Fear. PWN!

@Joseph_Leito, READ THE CARD! The Saproling comes into play already blocking the targeted creature. It blocks the creature even if that creature has flying. It blocks the creature even if it has landwalk. It blocks the creature no matter what 'unblockable' ability the creature has. The art even shows it blocking a flying creature.

Flash Foliage: "Sorry Mr.Progenitus, you've just been BLOCKED!"
Progenitus: "WTF?"

Meh. Severely over-costed, imo. I understand that it's nice in a pinch, but it only really helps if you're being attacked by a single creature without trample or flying.
