Transguild Courier: The only five colored card with cmc less than 5.

@ PurpleFire

Magic is based on the five colors. It would only gain +5/+5. Also, anything with any Protection, from any color, could block it repeatedly. It is better used with cards like Bloom Tender like Etregan said.

"Question: As an EDH general, does he count as colorless or all colors?"
~VoidedNote

First off, he cannot be an EDH general, as he is not legendary, but hypothetically if he were, yes, he would count as all five colors, just as his printed text says.

That sounds along the lines of both bosh and memnarch as EDH generals, both of whom now can be, along with the other 3? legendary creatures with different colors in their textbox.

Transguild Courier is all colors (even when being searched in Gatherer).

@kragash: "Otherwise what happens if WotC prints a Legendary Creature that costs {1}{R}{R}{R} and "This card is Blue"" - common sense would say his color identity would be {U}{R} but the official rules say that it's determined by the color of the card (in this case {U}) and the casting cost, despite having {R} in it is not part of the rules text, so going by the strict interpretation of the rules the color identity is {U}.. damn unplayable general he'd be.

The reason the rules don't account for situations like that is because no such cards exist; color indicators are used only for cards with no colored mana cost, because otherwise the colors of the mana cost determine the colors of the card. If such a card (a {U} card with a casting cost of {1}{R}{R}{R} for example) were printed the rules would probably be amended to account for it.

This + Knight of new Alara. 8/8 for 4.

Then combo it with a Dulux colour chart. Transguild courier is all the colours on it and gains +God only knows what/+God only knows what.:p

Wonder if this is what the new Eldrazi will look like. It'll probably be this, colorless cost for mutlicolored card, or just completely colorless. Interesting either way.
