because of split second, this can still target cards with shroud as a default ability. Very helpful against things like inkwell leviathan.

split second is very good but then again that just means that opponent is still sitting with his counterspell in hand waiting for your next spell. this can certainly fix many a situation, but also put you in at least as many where you'll wish you had gone for go for the throat. 3,75/5

This card is strictly better than Dismember in decks that can handle the two black mana.

Meh i like dismember better since its easier to "splash" for since try running this in a monoblue deck, or green, red, white for that matter

Freakin power creep. Still a good card though. I can imagine split second being useful in some cases.
