But it has lasers! Not as good as Triskelion but fairly effective.

Clock work creatures suck. That's why it has a low rating.

I have a question, I am new to Magic and want to know when using this card on my turn I enter the combat phase and attack my opponent. I am to remove a +1 +1 counter and can deal one damage to his 2/1 Child of Night. Do I deal that damage before or after the creature damage? the difference being that if I did that 1 damage to his Child of Night before it can deal it's damage then another of my creature would survive.

@Psyonus: The damage is dealt before combat damage. The Child of Night bites the dust without even getting to block.

Obviously each playgroup will have their own terms, but as a person that has been playing since Mirage, "ping" is the term I have heard most when dealing 1 dmg to a target. Prodigal Sorcerer, aka "Tim" (Monty Python's Holy Grail reference for those wondering), being the original "pinger". Not saying "poke" is wrong, per se, but I am sure more MTG players would understand/use "ping". With that being said, I wouldn't consider this card's ability a "ping" ability. It cannot tap to deal 1 dmg, but rather deals 1 dmg when it is declared as an attacker.
