Good against burn and practical in combat, but the cost to put counters on it is somewhat expensive and it doesn't seem too have much utilization other than damage prevention.

it is just too expensive even at casual tables. Perhaps one could use the counters for other things like Power Conduit.

I like this card a lot - very nice art, a solid creature (it might as well be a 3/7 when it comes in) and a useful, fun ability. You would probably want to play it with Heartstone or Training Grounds to get the best out of it, though.

Oracle, can we get a ruling on how to pronounce fylgja?
Wikipedia gives /ˈfɪlca/, which is basically "fil-ka" with the k articulated at the top of the mouth instead of the back. I can't make that sound different from a k...
