It's like flanking!...
... Only instead of shrink, -1 attack to blocker, an inability to target players, and the fact that it only affects non-flankers, it:
Deals 1 damage, and it affects any creature or player.
Other than that, exactly like flanking.

Not bad, provides mild kill power, although your opponent can decide not to block it and just leave it alone... I say power it up and watch it slaughter!

If the defending player declares two or more of his creatures to block the wolverine does his ability trigger for every creature declared as a blocker?

Underestimated. He doesn't have to die for his effect to work. Burn the blocker, use his ability to ping a separate target to create card advantage whilst keeping the wolverine alive.

I find it weird that there are creature types for mammals as specific as Wolverine, Badger, and Sable, but nothing gets more specific than Bird, and dinosaurs are dubbed Beasts. I guess mammals stick up for each other.
