Red should probably not get instant speed removal for that killed anything that can be killed with red damage, but that is what this was in Standard at the time.

"Skred" is a swedish word usually put together with a material to describe an avalanche of that material. For instance, as in the case with the art on this card, "Snöskred" ("snö"=snow).

... This is the reason why I love my snow-deck.
I use this to kill my opponents annoying creatures. Most of the time they are no bigger than 3/3 and I'll kill them with this to burn at least 10 damage. But hey, there is no kill like overkill.

Comparable to Dismember. It was that good.

Love this card, I built a GWR Christmas deck that built up a huge number of snow permanents, then aimed Skred at my Mirrorwood Treefolk, and then bounced the damage onto an opponent. Fun times with Red Snowball Fight.

or...to continue what Laguz said, it could be a one mana BOMB to a stuffy doll.
with all snow lands and a few other permanents you could feasibly get 10 damage out of this 1 CMC spell.

Much better than Spitting Earth with a snow manabase. Might even be better than Flame Slash when it really matters.

http404error, I'm going to assume that you were using Everlasting Torment, because I like to assume people AREN'T morons.
This card is a great excuse to build a snow deck. "sorry, you say I can't kill your Baneslayer Angel with a Lightning Bolt? Ok? I hadn't planned on it."
