Really shines in formats like EDH.

I believe it should have been an instant, but even as a sorcery it's a real goldmine for control decks, ensuring smooth draws in lategame. Really shines in control vs control.
Spellweaver Helix and this card are a match made in heaven.

This would have been absolutely incredible if it were at instant speed. As is, still fantastic at what it does. Buyback has always been a good mechanic, especially useful in formats where you need to make every card count....like EDH.

In larger decks, I run this, Sensei's Divining Top, and Crystal Ball, plus other cards like Foresee, Lat-Nam's Legacy, See Beyond, Ponder, and Forbidden Alchemy. I find these cards are more useful than pure draw spells like Divination, Concentrate, Jace's Ingenuity, Tidings, etc. Those cards are nice, but they only serve to dig deep into your library, not weave through it. Mystic Speculation sets up your next draws perfectly.

A repeatable Scry for 3 mana? That's really good, actually. Sorcery speed sucks, but I can see why they did it. It'd be too powerful otherwise.

My guess is that those are Mystic Remora he's stabbing.

Great TSP Block tech here. Great in my tooth and nail deck, it digs like crazy thanks to the buyback and the abundance of mana in the deck.
