gotta love fork! it is neat that red has that type of thing... twincast is also great but I always expected that kind of thing from blue, so it is funny that they only got twincast more recently

Definitely an outstanding card, one problem. The ruling- 10/4/2004 The Fork card goes to the graveyard when it resolves and leaves the copy on the stack. There is no card representing the copy on the stack.- is wrong.
This judge read as far as "Any one sorcery or instant spell just cast is duplicated.", then made a call off of that. Fork reads "Treat Fork as an exact copy of target spell except that Fork remains red." meaning Fork is that spell. If the spell(i.e. Fork)resolves the spell is cast, there is no phantom card on the stack. Many rulings can be avoided by keeping this in mind involving(e.g.) Guile, Dragon's Claw and the sort, Eyes of the Wisent, ...

This is a great card. Not only can it be used to copy that huge fireball you just sent at your opponent, but it can also be used to copy spells like disenchants and giant growths. It often catches players off guard, since this sort of ability is usually in blue.

... I hope with TWIN CAST out there this doesn't mean the end of people playing this.
Really don't see this kind of card for making much of a card for blue though... To me only really works well with rec XD Wish all the burn spells and what-not!

what happens if you fork a fork, and then have the forked copies target eachother?
could you cast an Infinate number of fireballs?

@darkfury: whenever you Fork a Fork, you actually Fork something else; no recursion is possible.
The first Fork is a red copy of, say, a Fireball; the second Fork is cast with the original and Forked Fireballs on the stack, so it can copy either (they are identical up to their controller and set of targets) to become a third Fireball with possibly different targets.

Not to be used as a eating utensil.

Holy... I think it's a bit mad to unrestrict this card. And in Legacy, not banned? Come what may. 5 stars. 6 if used with Fireblast.
