Dose this card truly bring a total end to the turn, or dose that player go through all the motions of ending his turn but still has the remaining phaisis of his turn to use. for example if my opponent drew up to 12 card and gave his creatures +5+5 during his main phase, and then I played Time Stop. Would he then be abel to continue onto his combat phase? Or is my opponent just done?

Time Stop stops just about anything. If this card had split second, it would be perfect.
Also, a nice addition to a Chaos deck.

Should have split second, it would fit the flavor better (I know it didn't exist in Kamigawa, but c'mon, Tine Spiral)

This card is just so fun. But yeah, should have Split second.

@TheWrathofShane: split second would have been redundant; it already exiles the stack the moment it hits the field (including itself), meaning it can't be responded to using an instant. after that, their turn is over.

All of you are slightly inaccurate, just a little. Time Stop doesn't stop Emrakul,
TIME STOP STOPS EMRAKUL!!!!
I think about 4 people in my playgroup went to the Rise of Eldrazi prerelease (and got a copy of Emrkul). Our entire playgroup got infected with the EDH virus. TIME STOP IS THE card! You just don't merely say that it stops Emrakul, you have to scream it. If I had millions of dollars, I would develop monuments and churches devoted to Time Stop (ok, not really). I don't think you all are really feeling me (just kidding), but still I must tell a story:
You think Magic is just a game. But it goes beyond a game when you are with 8 people who began an EDH game at 10:30 PM, you look at your cell phone to realize that it is 1:45 AM, and there are 7 people still alive at atleast 32 life. That blasted game ended at 4 AM. I won, and rightfully so because I was the only player who showed up packin'. What was I packing? Removal. Unfortunately, I did not have ... (see all)

This card is costed exactly where it needs to be.
Any lower and it would be a 9/10 strictly better Time Walk, which is a scary thing to think about.
As is, even now its still a mostly better Time Walk, and a counterspell to end all counterspells.
6/5 for the sheer brilliance of the card.
edit, 7/5.
One of very few ways to deal with Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
